Bluezone on the display is a bulb reminder. Fit the kit, then hold the selector button.
Model compatibility: Viking reuses codes across series and model years, so BLUEZONE may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
The Bluezone indicator strip appears when the Bluezone bulb needs replacing, about every two years.
A reminder, not a failure
When a blue Bluezone strip shows at the bottom of the display on a Viking 7 Series integrated refrigerator, the bulb is due for replacement. The manual gives about two years as the interval.
About the system
Viking presents Bluezone as a fresh preservation system. Using a germicidal bulb plus a special catalyst, it takes ethylene, which produce gives off naturally, out of the air, cuts odors and limits taste transfer between foods, so fruit and vegetables last longer.
Bulb change, step by step
Get the RBZB7 bulb kit from Viking Range, LLC.
The manual’s quick guide: slide down the cover, draw out the cartridge by its blue finger pocket, remove the used bulb.
Put in the new bulb cartridge.
Keep the Refrigerator selector button pressed for 3 seconds; the strip goes out.
Models in the manual: VBI7360, FBI7360, MVBI7360. The strip shows only once the bulb is due.
Notes
The 3-second hold of the Refrigerator selector is the clearing method the manual lists.
WATER FILTER is the blue FILTER button lighting up to request a new cartridge.
