Error code F10
Appliance Oven
Quick answer

F10 is a selection error: a delayed self-clean was programmed, and the oven does not accept it.

Model compatibility: Viking reuses codes across series and model years, so F10 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.

Plain language

What this code means

A delayed self-clean cycle was attempted, which the EOC4 control does not accept, so it shuts down into error mode.

This one is a setup mistake

F10 on an EOC4-controlled Viking is logged when a delayed self-clean is programmed, a clean meant to begin later and not right now. The control does not allow that combination, so it stops and enters error mode. Nothing is reported as broken.

Display

  • Wall oven with TOD2 or TOD3 clock: F10 shown.
  • Range: Clean light on and Cycle light blinking ten times.

Resetting

  1. Cancel the cycle and turn off the oven.
  2. Power the oven down to clear the error, then reset the control for a normal self-clean. This is the reset given in the sheet.
  3. Start the self-clean immediately, with no delay start.

Fumes and heat from a clean cycle are expected, so ventilate the kitchen and keep pets away.

If it comes back

When F10 shows although no delayed clean was set, or even a normal clean is refused, the oven needs service. The sheet marks this priority A: the cycle is cancelled and the elements go off.

Related clean-cycle codes

  • F01: door lock in the wrong position.
  • F07: door open during CLEAN.

In brief

F10 comes from a delayed self-clean being programmed on an EOC4 oven. Cancel, power down to clear it, set a normal self-clean, and start it without a delay. A range shows it as Clean on with ten Cycle-light flashes.
