Viking VERT5364 Electric Rangetop Repair Guide
Repair-focused reference for the Viking VERT5364 electric rangetop, covering operating symptoms, safe checks, diagnostic context, and service preparation.
Model overview
Viking currently lists VERT5364 as a 36"W. Electric Rangetop. A useful repair request should connect that exact model with a specific operating pattern: when the symptom started, which function is affected, whether it is constant, and whether a warning or code appears. Viking places this model in the 5 Series collection.
When requesting service for VERT5364, note whether the issue is constant or intermittent, what function still operates normally, and whether the condition followed cleaning, installation work, a power event, weather exposure, plumbing work, or another change relevant to this appliance. Do not select a replacement component from the symptom alone.
Do not remove panels or perform live-voltage testing. Repeated breaker trips, arcing, or electrical burning odor require the appliance to remain off.
Service may compare individual heating circuits, controls, sensors, wiring, and power supply. The number and location of affected zones help narrow the diagnostic path.
Common issues for this model
- the breaker trips
- one zone does not heat
- a zone heats slowly or inconsistently
- controls stop responding
- more than one zone loses power
- the unit cycles abnormally
