A power loss indicator after a long outage clears with any key press.
Model compatibility: Viking reuses codes across series and model years, so LONG TERM POWER LOSS may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
The display shows a power-loss indication after a long power loss; pressing any key removes it.
When power returns after a long outage, the display of a Viking 7 Series integrated refrigerator shows a power loss indication. It is informational: it notes that the unit lost power and does not name a faulty part.
How to dismiss it
Press any key, and the manual says the indicator goes away. It applies to VBI7360, FBI7360 and MVBI7360 units, and sits in a list of display alarms that also includes high temperature, water filter, open door, Bluezone bulb and clean condenser coil.
After the outage
Read the refrigerator and freezer temperatures on the display once it is back.
Allow the unit time to return to its set temperatures.
Consider the food: how far it warmed depends on the length of the outage and the door openings, and the refrigerator cannot report that.
No food safety advice or recovery time appears in the manual, so use your normal rules for perishables.
Flashing and a tone
If the display flashes and an alarm sounds after the power comes back, that is the high temperature alarm, a separate message. The manual says the alarm button mutes it, but the display flashes until normal temperature returns.
When the message appears and no outage occurred, call (310) 692-1112 about your Viking refrigerator in Los Angeles and tell us when you last lost power. See refrigerator repair.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
